HOW WE LIST PROVIDERS

How FinalPaws Lists Providers

We try to be calm and transparent about how provider listings on FinalPaws are sourced, reviewed, and presented — so families can decide what to trust, what to verify, and how to take the next step.

WHAT WE PUBLISH

What we publish

The information we show on a listing comes from public sources or directly from the business owner.

  • Public information

Listings are built from a provider's own website, their Google Business profile, and other publicly available information. We try to paraphrase neutrally rather than copy provider marketing language.

  • Owner updates

Business owners can claim a listing to update details. When a listing is claimed, the claim is reflected on the page.

  • A last-reviewed date

Every provider listing shows when the information was most recently reviewed against the provider's own public sources. A listing showing “Needs review” has not yet been re-checked and should be confirmed by phone.

WHAT WE DON'T PUBLISH

What we don't publish

There are a few things FinalPaws deliberately leaves out so families don't have to weigh marketing claims during a difficult time.

  • No star ratings, user reviews, or rankings

We do not publish star ratings, user reviews, or numbered rankings of providers. We don't copy reviews from third-party sites either.

  • No guarantees

We don't guarantee availability, pricing, or specific services. Provider details can change between reviews — please confirm directly with the provider before booking.

  • No fake verification

We don't add “verified,” “trusted,” or other badges that aren't backed by something concrete and current.

  • No paid placement without a label

Listings today are not paid placement. If FinalPaws ever introduces sponsored or paid placement in the future, it will be clearly labeled as such on the listing.

WHEN YOU'RE COMPARING

When you're comparing options

Provider details — services, hours, availability, pricing — should always be confirmed directly with the provider before you make a decision. A short phone call is the most reliable way to check current availability and ask any questions specific to your pet.

  • Confirm availability for your situation

Service area, same-day pickup, after-hours access, and witnessed cremation can vary by provider and by day.

  • Ask about pricing in plain numbers

Pricing depends on your pet's size and the type of cremation or aftercare you choose. Ask for the all-in figure including any pickup or memorial fees.

  • Ask about timing

If having ashes returned matters to you, ask how long it usually takes from pickup to return.

  • Tell them what would feel right

Most providers will work with you on small things — a specific urn, a paw-print impression, or a quiet moment before the cremation begins.

For business owners

If you're the owner of a listed business and something is inaccurate or out of date, you can claim the listing to update details. There's no charge for a basic claim.

If your business isn't listed yet and you serve families with pet aftercare, you can add it through the form below.
